Evergreen Solar panels were blue. A home grown American solar technology that created a "fluid-bed" of solar materials that was then grabbed by a solar back sheet in a continuous ribbon. It was a beautiful and efficient panel.

Evergreen Solar panels are no more. ABC Solar thinks the city of Palos Verdes Estates PV Art Jury is responsible, in part, for the demise of this firm. Namely because the PV Art jury hates blue and demanded with legal success only black solar panels be installed. No more Evergreen Solar panels.

ABC Solar installed this system without the PV Art Jury approval as the Solar Rights Act Allowed. The City of Rancho Palos Verdes was right to follow the law to grant and signoff on this permit. Southern California Edison (SCE) was also right to grid-tie this system.
